Prices:

All prices are displayed in Australia Dollars (AUD) and do not include GST. We do not accept international orders.

Deposits:

All enclosure purchases require a 50% deposit to commence construction. The deposit is paid via our online portal, direct deposit, cash and eftpos. The deposit is non refundable and non transferable. The deposit will be applied for all reptile enclosures, rack systems and custom backgrounds.

 

Collection:

The reptile enclosure or rack system must be picked up within two (2) weeks from the organised build completion date otherwise a storage fee will be applied. All reptile enclosures and racks not collected within one (1) month from completion date will be cancelled, with the purchaser forfeiting their deposit automatically unless other arrangements have been organised prior to this date.  

Reptile License:

A valid reptile license is required to purchase a reptile in NSW and most Australian States and Territories. Movement of reptiles interstate requires an export and import permit. These are at the buyers expense and is required before the animal is collected or freighted. This is a strict condition that will be upheld.

 

Freight

Door-To-Door:

All freight is generally conducted within business hours, please ensure that you are available to receive the goods on the allocated day.

* Absence for delivery will incur a fee directly from the freighter at the buyers expense. 

* Late attendance that results in the freight driver waiting is billed in 15 minute increments at the buyers expense.

* If tail lift or hand unloading is not requested prior to freight being shipped, these costs will be at the buyers expense.

* Driver is only permitted to lift goods under 25kg in accordance with WHS, please ensure the appropriate number of people are available to lift the goods in a safe manner.

* Non Attendance may result in goods being held for collection at the nearest depot at customers expense.

* Customer is responsible for removal of any freight packaging.

* You will be provided a tracking number for your freight and it is your responsibility to monitor the delivery date progress. You may not receive a notification that your package is due for delivery.

 

Depot Collect:

Large items generally require packaging on a pallet. In this event we are only able to offer depot collection. You will be provided a tracking number for your freight and it is your responsibility to monitor the delivery date progress. You may not receive a notification that your package is at the depot. Customers will need to either collect in a suitable vehicle (SUV/Ute/Van) or organise other means of delivery. "On delivery" from the depot to your door can be arranged directly with the freight company at your expense. Please note that some freight companies charge a fee for use of their personnel and equipment. Please discuss this with them prior to collection.

 

General:

All effort is taken to ensure our products are shipped in excellent condition. Freight insurance is generally available through most of our freight providers. In the event that freight insurance is not requested and damage occurs during transport, Sydney Reptiles Pty Ltd will not be liable for the damage or replacement. If you do request freight insurance, we will facilitate any assistance with your concerns.

 

Local Delivery:

Local delivery is available to the Greater Sydney Region, Newcastle, Shellharbour, Katoomba and Moss Vale. All deliveries will be completed during business hours Monday to Friday, within an allocated time window. Deliveries are to the driveway or to the kerb (whichever is nearer). Please ensure that someone is available during this period to receive the delivery and to move it inside. Please contact us prior to arranging delivery if you require assistance with moving the enclosure into its desired position and setup. Additional charges will apply. 

 

Non attendance for receipt of  delivery will result in the item being returned to our storage facility (unless prior arrangements have been made). Delivery fee will be forfeited and a new charge applied upon new delivery date.

 

Payment:

All outstanding balances are due on collection or prior to the delivery date. Failure to pay final balance will result in goods not being issued.

 

Storage:

All reptile enclosures and rack systems not collected within two (2) weeks from completion will incur a storage fee of $10 per week. This will be applied until the one (1) month limit is reached and the order is cancelled or other arrangements have been made to extend collection period, in which the $10 storage fee will continue until collected. This fee will be added to the final balance due.

 

Cancellations:

All cancellations result in an immediate forfeiture of the deposit. Any payments made in excess of the minimum deposit minus any storage and feeding fees scheduled in these conditions, will be refunded to your nominated bank account within 3-5 business days.

Cancellations of in store reptile accessories will be refunded 100%, special orders will incur a 10% restocking fee.

 

Refunds:

We do not accept refunds and returns on Reptile enclosure and racks after collection or receipt of delivery, wether through change on mind or financial hardship. Please see cancellation policy for work cancelled before collection. In the event of repairs being required, please see warranty below.

Returns after collection are not available in the event of a change on mind or financial hardship. Please see cancellation policy for work cancelled before collection. In the event of repairs being required, please see warranty below. Animal returns will not be accepted unless due to illness within fourteen (14) days, (see Animal Health Guarantee policy below).

Monthly Specials:

Our monthly specials expire at the end of the nominated calendar month. To take advantage of these specials, payment must be received prior to the end of the month and collection arranged with our team members.

 

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL):

If Buy now, Pay later is offered, an initial deposit paid in either cash/Eftpos/Direct deposit as listed above is required to initiate the transaction. Cancellations prior to collection will incur the forfeiture of the deposit (see Deposit policy) and any payments made in excess of the minimum deposit via BNPL to be returned to your providers account in accordance with the credit providers T's & C's. Refunds and Returns on reptile enclosures and racks are strictly not available (see refund policy above).

Payment Plans:

Rack systems, enclosures and custom backgrounds:

If BNPL is not available, we offer payment plans to our customers. Payment plans are strictly for ninety (90) days. In the event that the final balance isn't paid by close of business (COB) on day ninety (90), all payments in excess of the deposit will be returned to your nominated back account minus the storage charges (see rate/week in storage policy above). Collection date is to be arranged one (1) week prior to pickup.

 

Animals:

We offer payment plans to our customers. Payment plans are strictly for ninety (90) days.  A Thirty Percent  (30%) deposit will be required for all animals. We will continue to feed all animals in line with our normal feeding schedules at Cookie's Critters. In the event that the final balance isn't paid by close of business (COB) on day ninety (90), all payments in excess of the deposit will be returned to your nominated back account minus the feeding and housing charges (See below).

 

Snake Feeding and housing charges:

Hatchlings: $5/week

Yearlings: $10/week

Adults: $15-30/week depending on size

 

Bearded Dragon Feeding and housing charges:

Hatchlings: $10/week 

 

Animal Health Guarantee:

All animals are sold in good visual health, meeting our minimum age standards, feeding, shedding and growth milestones. Health guarantee for our animals is fourteen (14) days from date of purchase.

 

Health Guarantee Conditions:

1. Guarantee is limited to the purchase price of the reptile.

2. Reptile must be returned to Sydney Reptiles or contact made with Sydney Reptiles in the event purchaser believes it to be unwell.

3. Sydney Reptiles will offer either an exchange or refund if it is deemed the pet was unwell at the time of purchase.

4. Sydney Reptiles will not pay vet bills. All vet bills are the responsibility of the owner if they decide to take the animal to the vet.

5. The guarantee does not cover events, circumstances or environmental factors that occur after purchase that are out of the control of and/or not the fault of Sydney Reptiles.

6. The reptile must be returned to Sydney Reptiles within 14 days of purchase, with receipt and this guarantee form to validate guarantee.

7. Failure to adhere to the care sheets and advice available on Cookie's Critters website and social media will result in the cancellation of the health guarantee.

8. Due to strict quarantine policy's, Sydney Reptiles reserves the right to refuse the returning of a reptile, if we believe there is a risk of contamination for our animals.

 

Reptile Freight:

All care is taken to provide a safe transport when freighting our reptiles and our reptiles are always freighted in good visible health. Our preferred method is Qantas Pet Freight, however, in certain circumstances we use road based animal transporters. All freight is at the risk of the customer. Sydney Reptiles Pty Ltd are exempt from liability caused by injury, illness and death during and after freight.

 

Warranty:

All our enclosures and rack systems have a six (6) month warranty on the joinery (melamine) and fittings. No warranty on light globes will be provided. In the event of warranty work being required, please contact us via email with the details of the purchase and the product fault, we will endeavour to rectify the problem ASAP.
